To encourage start-ups and entrepreneurship, Sushant Kumar, of ESKYEN Ventures, contributed a fund of USD 2 million to the IIM Sambalpur Incubation Centre.
The ninth annual Foundation Day was held at IIM Sambalpur, and this year’s topic was “Accelerating Startup’s Ecosystems”.Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, spoke during the programme. Through a video message, he offered his congratulations to IIM Sambalpur on its ninth foundation day.The Union Minister advised students to adopt innovation, inclusivity, and integrity as their compass points in all of their endeavours, according to a press release published by IIM Sambalpur.To encourage start-ups and entrepreneurship, Sushant Kumar, of ESKYEN Ventures, contributed a fund of USD 2 million to the IIM Sambalpur Incubation Centre.IIM Sambalpur and India Accelerator inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop the entrepreneurial skills of IIM Sambalpur’s incubators.
According to a press release from IIM Sambalpur, Sushant Kumar, the founder and principal of ESKEYN Ventures and Indus Capital in the United States, stressed the importance of early investors with the conviction of Ram Shriram, who was the first investor in Google and supported Larry Page and Sergey Brin even during the company’s lean years.Arindam Mukhopadhyay, Partner, India Accelerator; Deepak Sharma, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, India Accelerator; and Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, Founder and CEO, IG Drones were also in attendance. Hiranmaya Mahanta, CEO, i-HUB Gujarat.
According to the press release, Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, provided information on three special projects: BunkarValleys.com to promote master weavers and artisans; MineralValleys.com to investigate the value that mines and minerals are creating for the people of Odisha; and DigitalValue.com to promote digital value promote digital leadership in the country and upcoming MoUs at the event.
